I run an experimental campaign called Archmage Arena... based on the BGG Career mode but it has evolved away from that. Players battle for levels and spell points. They start with default books and unlock points by leveling and add points each match based on win and loss. I set personal challenges as there are in the official tournaments as well as an overall Arena challenge. Ive had them do team play and special Arenas I created with different shapes, dangers and traps... here is the document on the arenas.
