Is there an official release somewhere? I have heard rumors of this but can't confirm it anywhere.

I would say if there is no publisher even for the country with the biggest tournaments, mage wars in general has a problem..

I think the main problem is that the translation took about half a year or longer,
Pegasus has started with the translate as the English product was already on the market, I think the people the really in magewars are in it do not wait as long as, then the sales numbers of course are not really good.

New products should come on the market in all languages at the same time.

Arena I have bought up to now, only on in German language ...
Academy one each in English and one in German.

I really wanted Mage Wars would be as successful as magic the gathering for me is Mage Wars the much better game.
But it looks bad for Mage Wars if you thinks what could be ...
No updates for the online spellbook builder,...

Academy was the right way, even though I find Arena is the only thing, but to bring the people Mage Wars closer it is great ... the game board and the supposedly long playtime surely frighten off some.

Mage Wars would be cool as computer game implement, imagine all mages, creatures, conjurations .... as 3d animierte figuren :-)

I think it's the beginning of the end. Mage Wars does not die from now on equal, the death comes slowly.
I realy hope I'm wrong!

I love the videos on Youtube from Keychain, Arcane Duels (Coshade, Puddnhead) I think I've seen them all ;-)

I don't think MW could be a new MtG: it's to good!

I don't think MW will die: AW takes a lot of (to much?) time between expansions... each time we think it's the end, and each time it's born again!

What I'm sure is that there are players who don't read enough english to play in original version, or who are more confortable to play in there own language. They would buy translations.
I think the idea of AW allowing translation befor editing expansions is good.
