I was personally hoping for an enchantment/curse

I'm interpreting "Dark and/or Mind" to mean that both schools will be present on the card but it's still in the air whether they are both mandatory or if they are optional.

I think we should do a dark and mind spell. I would prefer a creature or PANTS

Yeah, initial thoughts are something like:

Mind Fog:
0-2 curse
2-(no idea on cost)
Target: mage
Magecast

When revealed, this mage must replace one currently planned card with another of a different name

^ Not set in stone, but I feel it would be a fun direction to at least brainstorm

Typically you have either:

School or School i.e. Dark or Mind

or you have

School and School i.e. Dark & Mind

My vote is for Dark & Mind

A dark/mind creature... I think it'll be a lost opportunity if it isn't a mind flayer or something similar.

A dark/mind curse -Damages the mage every time they prepare two spells.

Dark pants - Demonhide pants that make your mage burnproof.

wow!
a mind curse on a mages... a lot of possibilities, but i'm not sure it's a good idea to open this door...
(there could be a lot to do on mind-cursing creatures too!)

Incantation dark & mind.
Dark ritual (like in MtG):
- Cost: x + 2
- Target none mage
- Mana transfer x from target creature. X is equal to target level.

Enchantment dark & mind.
Disoriented:
- Cost: 2+2
- Target creature looses and can not guard.

As cool as a mind/dark mind-flayer type critter would be, Hasbro owns the copyright and they have nazgul for lawyers.

Though it would be a cool opportunity to make our own squamous brain vampire horror.

What sorts of animals do people find disturbing?

Wasps, especially the kind that leave you paralyzed while their offspring grow fat within your slowly liquifying organs?

Swarms of Millipedes? But with even extra-more legs? That live in the fluid of their victim's eye, until they grow too large and burst forth?

Catfish with barbed hypnotic whiskers that attach like lampreys to the base of the victim's skull, pulling the victim's spinal cord like a puppet?

Ideas?

I can take the fun out of anything. It's true; here, look at this spreadsheet.

I think this route has a lot of untapped potential. Currently, the only mage that can easily open the door to stopping the enemies plan the easiest is the wizard. This CAN be used by wizards, but has more of a dark/mind mage theme to it and would benefit those mages

Just for note guys, we're not worried about the exact mechanics right now. We're just deciding on what type of card we want to make.

Another mind creature sounds great to me.  I'd also be happy with an enchantment that can target all types of objects as well as zones in the same manner as Decoy.  Another trap card could be nice.

My question for you, Aaron, is how do we make this card a "Laddinfance" card?  When/what is your stamp on this card?
