Thanks for answering, I know what you mean. But the rulebook says on page 18 "If both players want to reveal an enchantment at the same time, the player with the initiative goes first. He may reveal as many enchantments as he wants, one at a time, resolving each one before revealing the next"
It says "resolve" when the player reveals a hidden enchantment.
Also on the next page it`s said "Each enchantment is resolved as soon as it is revealed"
So for me step 3 of casting the enchantment (resolving) is done at the moment of revealing it.
And here the problem of magebane occurs.
But maybe I don`t understand it correctly.
The "Each enchantment is resolved as soon as it is revealed" means:
The enchantment takes
effect or is resolved when its revealed.
examples -
effects:
Maimed wings - when you reveal it the creature lose flying as of now.
Eagle wings - when you reveal it the creature is now a flying creature - note creatures cannot gain flying during an attack sequence.
Bear strength - You can reveal this on your creature after the enemy fails his defense roll. The effect is immidiate and you roll 2 extra dice for the roll dice step.
Enchantments where "Resolving" is needed:
Enchantment transfusion - The player revealing this now finish moving all the allowed enchantments he/she wishes before the other player can reveal 1 or more enchantments.
Note that the player with initative can reveal a newly transfered enchantment with priority as well.
Healing charm - resolving here is the dice rolling and the proper damage counters removed.
Im trying to say that the resolve is not putting the spell/enchantment into play, but its rather putting its effect into play.
Magebane only works when the enchantment is put into play - not when its effect starts to work.
