Spreading the Love (Spellbook Previews)
« on: February 26, 2013, 11:15:14 AM »
So I hear the forums don't get enough love. I thought I might throw these at you. I know they aren't cards, but these look amazing! I just wanted to share them as we recently got the art.

These are going to be the next Spellbook pack which will be sold as a 2 pack, just like the first Spellbook Pack. Tentatively we are looking to have them available in late April. I am thrilled with the quality of the art on these.

So without any further gilding of the lily, here you go.

We hope you like these as much as we do!

Those look pretty nice. Is there any chance of getting premium binders like those from Monster Protectors with mage wars themes? I currently use their 4 card versions which are great because they hold 160 cards and they side load so there is no more flipping past the page you want when you get half way through. Also they protect the cards much better.

These look like I've already spent $15.

I got the spellbook pack 1 last night, and those look even better in person.

ok - two first new spellbooks were good idea, because we have two mages without spellbooks.

Now we have 2 new spellbooks, so we need two more mages (or even more spellbooks and alternative mage cards for each) - this is how it works. I am pretty sure, I saw this rule in a Rulebook :P

But seriously - great artwork! I love green one!  love you are giving more love to the forum! :D

Could this be the first sighting of Necromancer v Druid?  The art fits the mages, that's for sure.

Nice looking books!

Can anyone in an official capacity give un update on the FIRST Spell Book Pack (and tokens come to that) in the UK.  Have ANY UK distributors actually ordered these in?  I can get them from Germany, which, with shipping, doubles the cost of the books (I want them, but not that bad), but HOW are these not available in the UK by now?

I can only assume that these books previewed here will suffer the same fate.

Hello Saus,

I just went through our records and our UK distributors did not order any. At this time we are out of them, but more are on the way. We hope to have them by late April. This assumes no difficulties with customs.

As for getting the next batch to England, I will push on our distributor there to pick some up this time around. This is a case of the more noise they get about the product the more likely they are to stock it. I would suggest talking to your local gaming stores and make sure they are requesting it from their distributors. Also while we always prefer that you buy our product from local retailers, I don't know if ordering from our website would result in cheaper shipping or not. Transit costs are crazy that way.

Feel free to contact us directly if you need more help.

Thanks for checking.  I guess that at least explains why I've not been able to find any.  Damn our UK distributors... Guess that means they're unlikely to have them to buy at the UK Games Expo at the end of next month too....

I would love to - but there hasn't been a 'local gaming store' round these parts for years.  Sadly, I have to do all my shopping online now.  I usually go to www.gameslore.com and I hassle them ALL THE TIME anyway  :)

I'll take a look at this then.  Any ideas what the estimated shipping cost to England is then?
