Pretty decent.  Works on spells too so that's nice and it's pretty cheap.

Yeah, I am in that camp.  I love decking out my mage with equipment and wading into the battle.  My gear was already so vulnerable, and now to have to worry about it being taken from me and used against me?  That... really hurts the way I prefer to run my spellbooks.

Thoughtspore is awesome.  I love it.  I want to see more creatures with Spellbind.  Very cool.

Current rules don't cover this topic, but I gues that card with spellbind and channelling is spending it's mana (and than mage's mana if required) for casting bound spell (simmilar to spawnpoints and familiars).

If yes, think of Thoughspore as of Mage/Elemental Wand + channelling + it's own action + it can be in the other place than mage, but it is easier to kill, limited to only one 1-2 level spell and costs 3 mana more.
