Jinxed opononent and mage lair ? Can lairs burn?
« on: January 12, 2013, 08:58:39 AM »
1 - Would a spell that is bounced via Jinx increase the mana on a Wizards lair?

2 - Can a lair receive burn counters?

3- Steal enchantment - If there is a harmonize on my opponent do I have to pay the "Magecast" part of the reveal to move it off the mage?

1 - I don't think so, the wording on Jinx says the spell is cancelled, while the wizard's lair requires it to be resolved.
2 - As far as  I know, yes.
3 -   Yes, because you pay the cost as if you had just cost it.

1. this situation cant come up. the spawnpoint is the caster of the spell and the spawn point isnt a creature therefor it is not a legal target for jinx.
2. i have seen no rules saying that conjurations are unaffected by conditions. only rule i know of is conjurations cannot be incapacitated or retrained.
3. if something asks for the enchantments cost you dont factor magebind into it. so the removal cost on the first part of steal would only be 4. the second part though requires you to act as if you cast the spell yourself therefor the magebind cost does apply.

Unless noted on the card all Conjurations have Unliving, Psychic Immunity and Unmovable. As part of Unliving they gain Poison Immunity so they can't be affected by Poison, Rot or, IIRC, Weak.

So they can be burned but they are immune to quite a few other conditions.

so i was just glancing at the rulebook. seems i was wrong.

Magebind +X
This enchantment is a little tougher to attach to a Mage. If this enchantment
is attached to a Mage, the reveal cost is increased by X. This adjusted reveal
cost is used for all purposes in spells, abilities, or effects which refer to the
reveal cost of this spell.
