Ghoulish Force Constructs

Hey guys and gals, this is a deck I've been working on. I'm looking for some feedback, I don't play forcemaster that often so I'm shooting in the dark here.

T1: 20. Monk -4, Battle Forge -8 in A2,
T2: 18. >Deflect Ring -2, Mana Crystal -5 in B1, move to A2 then Mana Crystal -5 in A1, Monk med +1,
T3: 19. >Force Ring -2, Ghoul -13 in A2, Redestribut Power -2 on mage or ghoul, Monk med +1,
T4: 15. >Jad Amulit -1, Force Grimlin -2, Move to A3 or B2 then Redestribut Power -2 on mage or ghoul, Kill Grimlin from redtribit power, Eat Grimlin with Ghoul in A2, Monk med +1,

Alt opening (so I can get the BF more forward)
T1: 20. Mana Crystal -5 in B1, move to A2, Battle Forge -8 in A3,
T2: 18. >Deflect Ring -2, Monk -4, Mana Crystal -5 in A1,
T3: 19. >Force Ring -2, Ghoul -13 in A2, Redestribut Power -2 on mage or ghoul, Monk med +1,

I also use Alter of Guard, Reroll Temple, Force Golem, Force Cat and basically all the Defence Equipment and  Enchantments.

So far I have only played it once against Grimmbart's Alfiya Priestess deck, it was a draw (I think I had the upper hand since I kill his clerics. but it was a really close game.

Do you guys have any suggestions, or thoughts on any improments?
(I'll add the whole deck list tonight once I get off work)

Wow ghoul and the force constructs!  Cool build, for some reason I thought the ghouls ability worked only on living creatures.  This is fun and something I have to try out now!   Good job werekingdom

Idk what the rest of your book looks like but I would find another way to add another Ghoul.   It's expensive and maybe unecessary but if two were out I would be terrified playing against it.  Also minds eyes to summon the force constructs right out of them into battle is always fun.  It really depends on how much your forcemaster is planning on Melee attacking the opponent Mage.

Once i see the book i may have some input

But i would like to say, this looks awesome and i never thought about this before. Very outside the box! I love it and cant wait to see how it shapes up!

All my instincts tell me this shouldn't work (what sort of body is left behind from a dissipated Force creature that a Ghoul could eat?), but I can't see anything in the rules that says no.

So, very nice move!

I agree with Farkas - get a second ghoul going so that they could both enjoy force gremlin snacks and then work as a team thereafter.

Hey Guys,

At the movement I only have 1 Ghoul but I do agree that I need a second one. The problem with the Ghouls is that it is fragile, it has only 2 armor and it is both level 3 and non-living so most enchantments don't work on him.

As for Ghoul food, after the first Grimlin, I've been using the Force cats (5 mana / 4 with dicount) instead of the Grimlins for the simple fact that they are not pest so I can use them as a guard with the alter and get a better atk (2 dice + 2 pics).

I might look at the force gaurdian to help absorb the attacks.  Another answer is the symbiotic orb which allows you to get a free Melee Defence on them if you are in the same zone.  I would carry at least two orbs maybe three.  You can remove dissipates from your creatures to help get them to their last dissipate faster .  Siphon Energy is a good way to get a heal off as well getting ur low level creatures to final dissipate.  Also ranged attacks are going to be the ghouls downfall imo. You could force orb the ghouls too.  Let the feasting begin!  ;D

You can always force pull someone away from you through the eye if you need to make some room and keep the ghoul out of the action for a turn or 2.

It wonk work for long but the option is there

Hello Farkas1, I like your idea of using the symbiotic orb, at present I was using the spiked buckler.
Do you think that the Ghoul is worth the mana investment for a Force orb?
At the moment I've been using him as a anti-conjuration that is always 2 zones away, thus acting as a threat and yet out of range for a quick kill.
(He has 7 atk + 1 pics after eating the grimlin).
On the topic of Siphon Energy I prefer to use Siphon with the force bomb since that gives the opponent the least amount of time to react

Yea not sure if it is worth it.  It is in school which helps.
, but if they waste mana and spellbook points for a hurl boulder or force hammer than it's not hitting you. 
It may be expensive but you already have a big investment having two in ur book.

 Yea the ghouls threat and speed across the arena is scary.

I suspect that the fact that force constructs are quick cast spells with dissipate are the whole reason this deck works at all. It's an ingenious idea though and I'd love to hear how it works out for you.

Awesome idea! Personally I don't think two Ghouls is worth it, but the one will put you in a nice offensive spot. I imagine where you take it from there is very similar to if you have a Vampiress.

I would drop the galvitar and go for a shifritar/symbiotic orb combo, or maybe a shifritar/spiked buckler combo, given the defense ring.

The symbiotic orb is just such a useful little gadget to have around with its automatic defense (great against buddies or other big stomping things), while the buckler is both defence and attack, and often underrated.

Just so you know, Galvitar is one-handed. So it should work fine unless you're worried about mana costs.
