Yeah, the core set does come with too few channeling markers. I bought an extra core set however, not just for more channel markers of course, but for more core cards. But it did have the added benefit of offering more channel tokens, and action markers I repainted myself to now have 4 different sets.

Not that I suggest another core set to ease the channel markers problem. But if you're crafty at all, you could print and glue some of your own using some of the damage markers. Or can buy a package of small craft cubes and spraypaint them pink and have a small container or bowl of them to use as mana. 1 cube=1 mana.

Small purple 6-sided dice work too. Just sit them on the source and rotate each round.

Yeah I do the same as wtcann - I just use dice. I find it much easier to play with

We use other items to... but wouldn't it be nice if AW would print a sheet of officials channel markers in the next expension?

  After 3 boardgame no soucy for me , but i prefer used dice purpple for channel and red for degat .

I use solid red dice for damage, and solid purple dice for channeling.

And how many spawn points are you playing with. Mine rarely get passed 3.

the seeding pods need a lot of channel.
and sometimes you let a spawnpoint channel for long to get a big beast later.

I understand you all use alternative material... what means there are not enough markers in the box

I personally don´t like dice markers for channeling.

But i do have enough core set´s so you could make a couple of seedling pots turn in to Togorah/Kralathor.

You could just use something else. Meeples from other games, small stones, M&M´s..

I do think they overdid it some, with Wraith Markers etc.

Ballista tokens, Akiros Hammer etc. I don´t think they are needed.

it's not that I don't have the markers, I have 3 core sets, but Dice are just easier.

I use some pink wooden 8mm cubes that act as 5 mana markers. Seedling pods have never been a problem by using these.
