I'm also brand new on OCTGN. I would be interested in setting up a casual game with somebody just to learn how to use OCTGN to actually play a game.

I too have just recently stated playing on octgn. Username is catdad. Add me and send a message any time you see me online ;)

edit: It seems I cannot successfully log on to the octgn network today, though I don't see any reports of problems from anyone else. Trying to determine whether it's a local problem or an octgn problem.

re-edit: Guess I just had to restart the app. I'm connected now.

Welcome to the (online) arena!

It's usually easy enough to find someone to play with on OCTGN, just open a game and be patient. I think most players will be helpful and friendly, especially if you let them know you are new to the scene. :)

And of course, feel free to add me as well!

I have also recently restarted playing. So far new books only, so I also need some who can teach me and play casual games.
Is there a Facebook group or similar to use to find players  and agree upon time slot?

I belong in ^this category- needing to get that first OCTGN game under my belt for the sake of learning OCTGN. Also prefer to schedule game sessions as I'm not able to be as spontaneous with my schedule as I'd like.

Open invitation to all: PM me if interested in scheduling a game in OCTGN. I'm CST. And yes, it would be a learning game, so there's that.

How to remove Siren's Call marker on OCTGN? Also how to return a card on the board during planning (such as switching a spell on a familiar) without showing it?

you can probably drag the sirens call marker to the siren stat card and then drag it to the desired target when you want to use it. not too sure, though.
and just drag the bound spell from a spawnpoint or familiar to your hand and then add the new one
by just dragging it to your hand it will not reveal the card to your opponent.

Seems to be false for me.

It reveals the card?
It should just say player x moves card to hand. Not which specific card

My experience is that it depends on the point of view. For the player who was able to see the card (by hovering over it) the chat log will name the specific card. But for the player to whom the card was hidden, it will not. It's been awhile since I've tested this, but that has been my experience in the past.

Zuberi is right. when you drag a card to your hand since you are able to see what it is even when its face down, it tells you the name. your opponent however cannot see the card since it is face down therefore it says moves card to hand, on there side. :)
