I own every thing for mage wars as of right now and I don't think I've seen any kind of book or story for mage wars past, I don't know if I'm missing it or if there isn't one the only one I have read is the dominations rule book has some lore on how the vtar orbs came to be with the dragons and all but I would like to see a book with like back stories on each mage even if it's just like a page or something telling about there training or something like that.

There's a book that's set in "modern" Etheria. I own it, not bad.

does it come with the mage wars games and expansions or did you buy it separate?

It's called Nature of the Beast. If you go to the online store it's in books. It's about a Beast Master, Force Master, and Wizard on a merry adventure.
