"Wall" not a subtype?

I just somehow noticed for the first time that "wall" is not a subtype. Instead a wall has the type "conjuration-wall". Is there a reason for this?

I am Sailor Vulcan! Champion of justice and reason! And yes, I am already aware my uniform is considered flashy, unprofessional, and borderline sexually provocative for my species by most intelligent lifeforms. I did not choose this outfit. Shut up.

Subtypes have not intrinsic rules, walls have intrinsic rules. Thus they are part of the type line.
