Do I have to go to a convention to pick up preordered academy?
« on: November 16, 2015, 08:04:17 AM »
My sister preordered Mage Wars Academy for me for my birthday last week, and I just checked the store and it said that preorders have to be picked up at gen con, except gen con has already happened! Do I have to pick up my academy core set at a convention, or will it be shipped directly to me? If I have to pick it up at a convention, what convention? I can't go down to the BGGcon at this time of year (or really any time of year) since it's too much money and hassle and it's the middle of the semester.

Please clarify this. Thanks!

It should ship to you, no problem. But just to be sure I'll contact Scott.

On a similar note, is there an estimate for when pre-ordered copies of Academy will be shipped? I read that the game was released recently, but I'm curious as to roughly when orders will be sent out. I've been busy so there's no rush for me! Still, I'm very excited for its arrival!

I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere. Thanks!

You're fine Erebus. Copies of Academy should ship out as soon as we have them. Right now I don't have an exact day. If that changes I will totally let you know! But it should be soon.

Will it even be out this year? My worry is that it won't be shipped until January or something.

I don't see that as a problem, Vulcan. So, I wouldn't jump to that conclusion quite yet.
