Community Card Construction: Concept Decision

It might be helpful to define or elaborate on what constitutes a "Nightmare Creature".  That choice seems to have a lot of potential overlap between "Psychic Ghost" and "Creature from Beyond". 

Anyway, I'm voting for Cthonian-Style Creature from Beyond, mainly because I feel it is the most logical direction for Mind & Dark cards to go in.  We already have ghosts which are pure Dark, so having ghosts also be the Mind & Dark combo will make it feel less distinct and special.  I view Brain in a Jar as more natural as a Mind & Arcane combo than Mind & Dark (there's nothing necessarily evil about surviving as a brain in a vat...  Heck, some of my best friends might be brains in vats for all I know!).  I would be really excited for Zombie Fungus (I really want fungus/mushroom people), but that seems like an ideal Nature & Dark combo.  Mental Parasite could be good, but I think it's pretty similar to how the Zombie Fungus could work.  And Nightmare Creature is a bit vague at the moment.

Wow, that over fast! Didn't have time to vote... Are we in a rush?
Now when I look at the options I must say that it is hard to grasp the theme / characteristics of each option. Maybe it is clear for you Americans but most of the names/options I have never heard of. What I would have like to see (and still would) were like a reference art / picture for each one. A simple Google link to something to get a better understanding.

Sorry that seemed to go by so fast. I had it up for 48 hours. I'm trying to split the card into little pieces so we can do chunks at a time and not go to fast, but also not stagnate. Right now the themes are pretty nebulous. We'll be honing them down as we go along. Hope that helps.

I missed the vote as well, but I don't mind because Nightmare creature, even if it's more broad, sounds great! I like the polls though, so I'll just pay more attention.

Shit! Didn't notice the gun before. Well yes and no, I meant the dude in the foreground but without the lousy gun.

I really like that imagery too, fas723. He's also holding a sword, so if we just get rid of the gun we could have a duelist cloaked in shadows. I was personally picturing something akin to a wraith for the nightmare option, but something more solid like you suggest would be really cool. Sort of like your fears made flesh. Or perhaps it could be a Mind Mage who delved too deep into the psyche and unlocked something dark and sinister, the stuff of Nightmares, and was tainted by it's power.

for me the nightmare creature was a metamorph or had no morph at all.
it would act in the dreams of his target pulling on its fears (that can have a visual character, or be a feeling, a smell, a noise,...).
