conquer a wall

can a wall be conquered?

the "target's zone" has to be controlled, but the wall is in multiple zones...
is it ok if one of the bordered zones is controlled (like for LoS for an attack)?

Walls do not have zones... they exist between zones. Therefore, they can not be Conquered.

Following up on this.... Does anyone know whether a wall is considered "Terrain"? (If so, then this would be another reason for Conquer not to work on a wall.)

Where is "terrain" defined? Are terrain spells marked with the key work "Terrain" anywhere? Thanks!

Terrain, in this context,  is a subtype like temple or cloud. Of course now that I think about it I am not sure if it is used by any conjuration at the moment.

A Wall is a wall (it has the type Conjuration-Wall). They are not Terrain which are also Conjurations but not the type: Conjuration-Wall. Terrain is officially defined on Page 2 of the Domination manual.

Quote
Terrain
For future compatibility, each of these special tiles counts as terrain. Terrain is a type of conjuration spell players will be able to cast in future Mage Wars® expansions. A terrain spell changes a zone, giving it special new features. For example, a “Mud” terrain spell might turn a zone into a sticky pool of mud, whereas a “Hellscape” terrain spell might create a hellish fire zone.

When you cast a terrain spell on a zone which already has terrain in it, the new terrain spell cancels out and replaces the old terrain spell effects. The special tiles of Battlegrounds all count as terrain, and you can cancel their effects by casting a Terrain spell on top of them. However, they cannot be destroyed or moved.

You must follow all of the normal rules for overlaying Terrain. For the purposes of using terrain rules, these special tiles have a mana cost of 0. If, for some reason, the Terrain that overlays a special tile is removed or destroyed, the original special ability of the tile functions again.

This answer is much better than mine ;)

And greatly appreciated, especially since I do not have Domination.

You can find the Domination rule book on the AW download site. Here is a direct link to it.
