So if the trend of previous mages continue then the equipment the mages are wearing in the pictures will be equipment cards for them. Looks like a trident style weapon for the Siren and a Sword of some sort for the Paladin. I bet he will have unique armor with possibly a helmet and a shield as well.

I had the exact same thoughts regardng the equipment and i am as sure as one can be at this point that the Paladin will get a shield! Not sure about the helmet, but regarding the podcast with Bryan Pope he said something with "truesight" on an equipment to see through the illusions of the illusionist - this could very well be named helmet!

I'll note the Anvil Throne Warlord has no axe or shield equipment yet. Though I suspect that helmet and sword will both be in the set.

Heavy armor guys are most of the times alergic to lightning. It would be fun, if paladin could work as a lightning rod or inductor. His gear will add +x lightning trait and he will cast lightning attacsk on himself. Thanks to his inner ability, he will redirect the whole attack to a target enemy creature. I must say, i am slowly getting hyped just thinking about upcoming expansion. I was hoping that i will defend myself against this feeling a little bit longer

Maybe syren will have another enchantment "only syren" that gives her armor and something more as Flame -2 trait.

i hope soon we´ll know what promo cards will be released in this pack.

On a side note, I'm getting the feeling that PvS won't actually be out till next year, thus breaking the cycle of having two new Mages every fall/winter.

They've got both Battlegrounds and Academy mode which are slated for this year and both of those are huge deals, so I don't think we'll see PvS for a while. This is just pure speculation of course, but we know AW likes to make sure everything is perfect in an expansion before it is released (something I am very thankful for), and making that happen takes alot of time/work/testing.

Battlegrounds will be cool.

I like that those cards will be legal in MW games, but regular MW cards won't be legal for Battlegrounds.

It's also a lot smaller of a MW game in case people were a little intimidated by the apprentice game. You can work them in using baby steps.

Well, they stated, that all cards from Battlegrounds will be playable in Standard MW, but some cards from Standard MW will not be playable in Battlegrounds. That makes sense Wizard tower in 1*3 space is not funny

About PvS, i have also a similar feeling, that there is a chance, we will not see it this year. I really love, how AW put quality over quantity and this is also a reason, why they will be a number 1 game in my hearth for ages to come

My personal opinion is Wiazrd's tower is broken. I hate that damn card. I wouldn't hate it so much if that either:

Each spell cast from the tower was a one time deal, cast and into the Discard pile

OR

There was a Mana Cost associated with changing the spell.

All other items that have spellbind that you can change the bound spell have a cost associated to change the spell.

But yeah, back to the topic - yeah, they really care about the quality of what they release instead of releasing something to get it out there and then have to back pedal because they screwed up.
