Wrinkly Spellbook
« on: August 01, 2014, 09:31:15 AM »
Hey all. Just got into this game and we are playing it for the first time tonight. I can't wait!

I was wondering however...my "red" spell book that came with the core set has an extremely wrinkled cover. It's pretty bad actually. The other spell book and the other two I got with the Forcemaster vs Warlord expansion all look great.

I'm not too bent up about it, but the spell book concept is one of the coolest aspects of the game. It's totally still usable, just looks like crap.

I was just wondering if anybody else has had this experience, or it my "wrinkly spell book" rare enough to warrant a possible replacement from Arcane Wonders?

If you contact customer service we can get you taken care of. It's actually a pretty simple fix, so don't worry we want you to have the best experience possible.

It is normal. It is due to making process and instant packaging. It will become flat over time. You can heat it with a hair dryer to accelerate the process if you want.

I could see that working, but I'm not sure that will fix this one, it's really bad...but maybe I will give that a shot first.

They aren't kidding about this. I remember my pre-order didn't have promos and they sent me a those and "a couple more". Yeah, they definitely do take care of you. If you do have any issues, I know they will resolve it so don't hesitate.

Yeah I just wanna voice my approval of the way Arcane Wonders handles things like this. We had some expansions come missing cards once and they mailed them to us immediately. Amazing service.

I must also confirm, that customer service of arcane wonders are among the best of all companies that i ever met. Not just gaming industry, but from all of them. :)

When i bought my core set, one package of card were "glued" or "sticky" and when separeting tham, that stickiness damaged a little picture part of a card. Despite the fact, that i live in middle europe, which is somewhere between middle earth and land of OZ, i recieved my cards under week. My guess is that they used some kind of messenger bird, probably "sky hunter" because of the speed i get them :)

I really hope they decide to add these to the promo packs that are going to be available to purchase. One alternate mage art per pack would be awesome. Would be a good way to help those packs sell more too.

I was hoping they would release an alternate art promo pack that contained all of em. Though now that some mages have an alternate art I would want all future mages to as well which could be a headache from a collectors standpoint.

Easy, guys.. I put my pants on just like the rest of you -- one leg at a time. Except, once my pants are on, I win Mage Wars!
