Yes. Since Dissolve targets the mage rather than the equipment, nullify will prevent it.

Equipment is attached to the Mage and therefore as ACG said, Nullify can prevent Dissolve from resolving during the counter spell step.

While we're clarifying, also note that dispel will not be blocked by nullify. I've had opponents use a dispel followed by a dissolve and then been grumpy when the nullify blocked the dissolve. Always read that target line.

Can exolode be blocked by a nullify? And, if so, is mage wand "part" of my mage as well?

Yes, explode is countered by nullify.  Take a look at the target line for Explode. The target must be a Mage, not the equipment card they are carrying.  Nullify counters Incantations (like Explode) and Enchantments that target the Mage the Nullify is attached to.  Equipment (like Mage Wand) is in a sense a "part" of the Mage because it attaches to them.

Thanks for the clarification Tom. So wouldn't it be more beneficial to carry more nullifies in your spellbook than armor ward?

Depends.

Nullify has a red reveal cost, so it's mandatory. You can force an opponent's nullify to trigger, and then be destroyed, by casting any enchantment or incantation on him or her.

Armor Ward doesn't go away after its first use, so it can save your first piece of equipment, and then tax any other Dissolve attempts.

Thx for info guys. So, using armor ward playing an opponent that is struggling with channeling is more appropriate?

Again, it depends.

Warlord has a hard time playing enough Nullifies to defend all his equipment because of his 3x Arcane spellbook cost, so Armor Ward may be more appropriate. Wizard can play 4 Nullifies for the cost of one Armor Ward, though, and Nullify does protect against curses and incantations, too. Or a Warlock with Battle Forge might skip both and just play with extra copies of important equipment instead.
