Reanimate cost reduced via Necro ring?
« on: November 22, 2013, 10:11:08 PM »
So when I reanimate my eternal servant, do I get the reduction from the Necro ring? Does it count as if I was summoning it again?

Also as a side note, if you eternal servant an Ichthelyid, does it come back with another egg token on it?

Necro Ring requires you to be casting the creature/spell.  While reanimation is similar to summoning, it is not casting the creature so the discount wouldn't apply.

An eternal Ichthilled does bring back an egg each time, when a creature is reanimated it comes back as a "fresh" version of the creature.  Ichthilled is actually one of my favorite eternal servant options.

I am assuming you are talking about the Death Ring, which reduces the cost of Necro and Undead spells. Eternal Servant has neither of those subtypes and thus is not affected.

The Ichthellid does indeed come back with another egg token. It is a brand new creature summon when it comes back.
