Playboard for Mage Wars
« on: June 04, 2013, 11:02:32 PM »
Hi, everyone! My friend and I have recently started playing Mage Wars and we have purchased a copy of the original and the expansion, as well as extra spellbooks and token set. However, we lack one thing: a big enough playmat. As our number doubled, we need a bigger mat to fit everyone in the game. Recently, we are also thinking about demoing the game to our Warcraft TCG group to increase our ranks. However, we think that it would be much more attractive if we could demo it as a 3-4 players game (which would allow us to get some of the new guys to join us and play together).

I am just wondering if one of the mods here can be kind enough to send me a file with the picture for the board. I plan to print it on vinyl and use it during the demo and our play sessions.

I just went ahead and picked up a second copy of the main game but I'm surprised they don't offer the board as a standalone product as I've seen some other companies do.  A fifteenish dollar pricepoint would be good I think.

i assume Game Stores would appreciate the stand alone board so they can host events without having to purchase the whole game. but then again they could buy a whole game and sell the board and cards seperatly (not sure if this is legal though).
Being Aussie we place all our cards face down, apart from enchantments which are face up
