Great write up Imaginator. Being new to OCTGN myself, I would think a person like myself would be at risk of being a Sorryquitter, but I've been fortunate enough to have played with patient people. I will say I tried to cheat a few times learning the game for sure (what do you mean I can't stack Magebane on you?!?!) The people I've played with so far have been very helpful, and forgiving which is a testament to the community of Mage Wars. I think this game deserves more players, and that is certainly not going to happen by making people feel dumb, or not pointing out their mistakes in a constructive manner.

I can't wait until I have it down cold, so I in turn can be the teacher, and introduce more players to this great game which in turn would fix that problem of waiting for hours for a game as well. I know full well when I start OCTGN that I need to have the time set aside to find a game, and finish it. That is a big commitment for a new player to make, and not feel like they are a burden to other experienced players. Its up to everyone to make that player feel comfortable in that commitment.
