Here is also a pretty good site if you want to get into custom tokens and such...

http://www.litko.net/

omg. i gotta pimp out my burn makers with the tokens from this site!

I know huh. I really like litko. I have had them make completely custom tokens for me for other games, including custom shape...

I really like the "surprise" factor of not knowing what you will face. I am pretty sure we will end up going with not knowing beforehand, it just sounds more fun!

So is it customary for most of you to know which Mage you will be fighting against before you create a spell book?

We had a game the other day and I had created my first spell book (Force Master).

My gaming buddy decided to use the Druid for the first time. It was a good fight (I lost), but damn I would have liked to have a lot more Fire spells, not to mention that my Force Spells were pretty much useless.

After the battle we had a discussion about letting each other know before hand who we will be fighting, and we couldn't decide which route we should take.

What do most of you do? Tell each other before hand? Or wait till you play before you reveal which Mage you are going to use?

Ok, that makes more sense. We have only played two games.

We thought the game was pretty brutal to begin with, and when we were casting 3 spells in one turn (2 quick cast without moving and one with quick cast marker) we thought it was especially brutal! lol

Rules Discussion / Can't cast 2 quick Spells in one turn?

I was just going through the Rules Supplement and noticed this:

Actions
Under normal circumstances, the action marker can be used to either (a) stay still (not take a move action) and
then perform a full action or a quick action, or (b) move up to one zone and then perform a quick action. As
your quick action, you can choose to move again a second zone. You may not use the action marker to perform
two quick actions.

We were under the impression as long as you didn't move, that you could cast two quick action spells on your turn (not including your Quick Cast Marker), are we doing it wrong?

So it looks like the only reason you would ever prepare two quick cast spells is if you are planning on using your Quick Cast Marker for one of them?

It is normal. It is due to making process and instant packaging. It will become flat over time. You can heat it with a hair dryer to accelerate the process if you want.

I could see that working, but I'm not sure that will fix this one, it's really bad...but maybe I will give that a shot first.

If you contact customer service we can get you taken care of. It's actually a pretty simple fix, so don't worry we want you to have the best experience possible.

Great! I will do that! Thanks for the quick reply.

Hey all. Just got into this game and we are playing it for the first time tonight. I can't wait!

I was wondering however...my "red" spell book that came with the core set has an extremely wrinkled cover. It's pretty bad actually. The other spell book and the other two I got with the Forcemaster vs Warlord expansion all look great.

I'm not too bent up about it, but the spell book concept is one of the coolest aspects of the game. It's totally still usable, just looks like crap.

I was just wondering if anybody else has had this experience, or it my "wrinkly spell book" rare enough to warrant a possible replacement from Arcane Wonders?
