If you cast Knockdown on a creature that hasn't yet acted this round, then yes, at the beginning of its action phase it "gets up" (is no longer incapacitated) and can take its actions.
You could use Knockdown as a way of removing a guard marker on a creature, or to (temporarily) knock a flying creature out of the sky, or to keep a creature from hindering your movement. But Knockdown can be especially effective when targeting a creature that has already acted, because that creature will incapacitated and vulnerable until the end of the round.

A stunned creature is Incapacitated and cannot take any actions at all (except for a Mage, who can still use actions to cast quick non-attack spells).
Even when a creature can't perform any actions due to being Stunned/Incapacitated, it still takes an Action Phase. It simply doesn't do anything during the Action Phase.
The "Remove after acting" text on the Stun marker means "Remove at the end of the creature's Action Phase."

Unlike mages, who begin the game with 10 mana in their supply, familiars/spawnpoints that channel mana enter the game with zero mana, correct?
