I havent seen many spellbooks posted on here lately so I will throw something up. The point is discussion and tactics rather than optimization (no, I don't want 3 teleports). I don't tend to use the same spellbook too often. In fact I only used this book once April 04, 2014 7pm, but I liked it. I talked about it in a post about using bows, and here it is:

Strategy:
So the first few turns look like this:
I vinetree my starting corner, go to nearcentre(NC) by turn 2 and camp out. I get a hunting bow, hawkeye, and galador. I might treebond a mohtari tree in NC as well. Assuming the enemy doesn't camp in his starting corner, I stay in NC.

My mage basically does this every turn: Hunting bow the mage, surging wave the mage. I try to hit at range with galador to give my bow a chance to bleed. NC is vulnerable to area fire damage, but hopefully they will be slammed so they wont want to risk a missed [mwcard=MW1A05] Firestorm[/mwcard].

My vine tree sets up obstacles to inhibit the enemy creatures: tangle, strangle, vine markers, thornlashers in 2-3 zones adjacent to NC(to pull creatures off my druid), bloodspine walls esp between thornlashers and NC

Card Choice:
Yes, Togorah might be better off being a [mwcard=MWSTX1CKC06] Guardian Angel[/mwcard], but I wanted a more Plant-based book. It was hard enough to justify galador and the raptor. Yes the spider is likely just a waste of mana, but I wuv him. I have 3 hunting bows because without a bow, my druid is useless. [mwcard=MW1Q13] Ivarium Longbow[/mwcard] costs too many spellpoints.

Possible card swaps:

more tangle, less strangle
seedling pods so that my vine tree has something to cast every turn

Instead of 3 hunting bows you could use some nullifys

Yeah, take out two bows, add two nullifies.  it would free up a lot of points.  I doubt a Mage with a standard 3 dissolves would waste all of them on a single piece.

Looks promising! I think I'll try something like that next time I play. :)

If you plan on staying in your zone, I would recommend [mwcard=MWSTX1CKQ06]Eagleclaw Boots[/mwcard] in order to avoid being pushed through your own Bloodspine Walls. Occasional Nullification (as suggested by barriecritzer and Sand Goblin) might do the job as well.

PS, I did have the eagleclaw boots. I can also get my spider to stuck me and then never try to escape it.

updated book! I added nullify, rust, akiros favor and kept my 3 bows because i'm paranoid.

Shouldn't you run more than 1 animal in a build that is based around Hunting Bow?

Nobody casts a 11 mana dissolve if you have a potential nullify on you.

Copies of bow cannot be recplaced by nullifies.
I'd go for 1 or 2 bows regardless.

I'm gonna go against the pack and say that backup equipment is much stronger than singleton equip + nullify. Nullify is very easy to bait, and can be stripped for 0 mana with purify. I'd keep at least two copies of the bow.

Cool, you have built a very similar build as I have.
I did focus on the Giant Wolf Spider though. They are a nice combo with Tngelvine and Strangelvine.

I agree: What is he going to do without the bow - I'd go even further and add another Galador (or other ranged animal creatures if there are any...)

So I hate [mwcard=DNC16] Spitting Raptor[/mwcard] right now(i dont need the corrode, low hp, beefy melee attack i will never use) and I grabbed a minor heal for galador rather than getting another animal for my bow. The animal for my bow is more of a perk than a requirement. I threw in another rust because I'd like more curse options so they don't seeking dispel all my poisoned bloods(so I can stack bleeds w/ bow, walls, and thorn burst). Akiro's Favor is either for my bleed on the bow or stuck on my spider. I'd have another if it didnt cost 3 spellpoints. I removed sacred ground because I couldnt find a copy and 4 spellpoints is expensive for something will likely just mitigate one attack before being dispelled.

I have a tournament on friday and i'm going to use some variation of this book. still keeping the 3 bows.

i only played it once against a forcemaster who didnt have a gameplan. i didnt throw down walls, dispelled the annoying stuff, and galador was fine. needs more testing
