You are just completely hobbling yourself by choosing to only play Nature Spells, and only Plants at that!

Not necessarily. I love my druid, and it's only creatures are plant types. I will put my book against anyone and give you a fight.  It's just how you play it.

Spellbook Design and Construction / Re: Druid Seedling Pod

I never found the [mwcard=DNJ09]Samara Tree[/mwcard]to be of any use other than a distraction forcing your opponent to attack the pods over the other things on the board.

Every time I've gone with heavy strategy to make the [mwcard=DNJ08]Seedling Pod[/mwcard] the focus of the deck it didn't work. You pay 2 points for the additional tree then, between 1-6 additional points for the pods. so you are dedicating 8 Point to this idea.

The pods cost 3 mana to play (1 from tree \ 2 of yours) or just 2 of yours if you cast them yourself with [mwcard=DNQ04]Druid's Leaf Ring[/mwcard]. Then you have to hope it survives 3 turns to pop a creature from it. And the tree mana can only be used to cast the pods, not offset the costs of whatever comes from the pods.

You could have [mwcard=DNC17]Tataree[/mwcard] flutter around to add additional mana until your opponent casts [mwcard=FWI08]Sniper Shot[/mwcard] and destroys her.

For me it was never a viable strategy other than a distraction.

Coshade and Intangible0 built one of these a while back.  I remember playing against it, not sure if it ever made one of our videos or we were just playing it in testing.

4) Wizard: As the only mage from the core set that didn't receive a second expansion, yet, Wizards have had the least problems regarding variety, especially given that until very recently they were able to specialize in any of the four elemental schools. Now that they're limited to Air, I can at least see some merit in an expansion for them, but they're still the one mage who needs an expansion the least.

Wizard had an academy release that had some cool tricks in it.

When I've been working on design I've been trying to keep in mind the concerns from the community. After all that was why the Warlord was added to Forged in Fire.

I am still struggling making him competitive

To be honest, the Druid is very strong, and if I'm working through "problems" then I had several bases to hit before she'd be back on my radar.

Strong is an understatement. As a Magic player who loved Blue control type strategies, she is amazing. If I build a book and It cane even be remotely competitive to my druid build I scrap it, because it's just not viable. The Druid is very good. (and even better since I re-read the vine tree last weekend)

Right now the big issue is "Frost" and I'm working to ensure that the next set will release something that's been highly anticipated and requested.

A Mechanic that was in the core set 4 years ago, and still has not made it into the game.

64 days to make Akiro's Hammer replica and launch myself across the ocean :P

Once Trump builds his wall it won't matter since it doesn't have indirect (Which makes ZERO sense at all)

Even with the creatures that can uproot, you're not going to be doing it most of the time because it uses up your mana.

My druid is very aggro and is all plants. it all about Vine tree, timing and mediation amulet.

Do you believe that with this image you can say that all mages are balanced?

Since the wizards "nerfing" I think the druid is the best mage. before the nerfing was the 2nd best mage.

I still think Warlord is the Worst. I love the idea, but I just can't get it to work.

Don't believe me, find me at Gencon. I'll bring my Druid anyday.

My Current book plays one promo card that is in Lost Grimoire (nature spell), and 3 spells / 5 cards that will be released in PvS (all water spells).

Also, on July 23rd in Palatine at Durty nellies they are having their huge board game event. They are having game companies come in, Callopie games, and AEG. I'll be there pretty much until about 7PM willing to play Mage Wars all day.

They have a huge craft beer menu, great food, and it is only steps from the Metra Train Station.

This is such a great game that nobody plays.

as much as I would love to come out to play MW, I'm not traveling into the city. Especially in that area. There is little to no parking (Street only) or easy access from the suburbs via public transportation.

Have fun.

I'm always up for a game. the Metra drops off right in From of Nellies, so the Train from the city is very convienent.

Dont forget creatures like blue gremlin, Grey Wright or spells like Divine intervention, banish or that academy version of banish. I probably missed oné spell. :)

Does the Anchor prevent a creature from getting banished? Per other threads it does not stop the return of the creature into the zone, but does it stop the leaving of the creature via Banish.
