Did you post the right spellbook?

Okay, thanks.
That's been bothering me. :)

Guard, yes - got it confused with the German "Wache" ...

Okay, I think I've got it: being on Watch, they are not considered flyers anymore and can thus be tanglevined?

That must be it ...

In a couple of videos (final Thunderdome II, for example), people were using [mwcard=MW1J22]Tanglevine[/mwcard] to negate a Watch-marker from a flyer.

Am I missing something? Tanglevine explicitly states that flyers can't be targetted, but seeing it used in a number of high-profile matches leads me to believe there's something I'm not sseing.

I've checked the errata, too ...

Thanks for the replies, guys.
Last night I stumbled across the Johktari Rushmaster and realized that there is some similarity to my concept. Will see if I can gain any wisdom from studying that book. :)

Akiro's Favor will be included - once we finally get FiF here in German. :-/
(But the same goes for Hurl Rock, so I'll see if I can design an in-between version without any FiF spells.)

And about the ceiling - what I like about the idea of the book is that because of all the enchantments, I think it can shift gears quite well.
Going on the defensive and tanking should be possible just as much as whittling down the opponent with curses, if the direct damage route is blocked.

Spellbook Design and Construction / Angry Druid hurling rocks!

Okay, this is my first attempt at something like this, and the whole idea is still very much an ongoing process, so no finished spellbook yet, and no first moves. I'm hoping to develop those.

Now, the basic idea might be totally stupid, but while tweaking my fireball-hurling Warlock, I was thinking how nice it would be to use [mwcard=MW1C13]Fellella, Pixie Familiar[/mwcard] in such a deck, since I'm casting a ton of curses and enchants on myself.

THEN I thought, maybe it's possible to design an angry rock-hurling druid that plays very similar to the curse & fire-laden Warlock.

So the basic premise would be to play Fellalla early and then load up on tons of enchantments for one or two turns (both friendly and hostile curses) and then go on the all-out attack with [mwcard=MWSTX2FFA02]Hurl Rock[/mwcard] and transfer all curses via [mwcard=MWSTX1CKE04]Enchantment Transfusion[/mwcard] to the opponent.

To conserve mana, the aim is to hurl two rocks per turn for 12 damage (hawkeye), plus whatever damage the curses do.

The main barrage can start as early as turn three.

What do you think, could this work?

I wasn't talking about Force Pull, I was referring to the spell Force Push.

My bad, I misunderstood ...

Right, yeah, forgot ...

But I went through it, if you start off with a run to NC, it still works with a golem in Rd 2 and one in Rd 3, with the "Big Play" in Round 5.

I absolutely adore the idea of this spellbook, it appeals to me on so many levels! :)

One thing I was musing over was whether for pure, raw damage output, one or two Darkfenn Hydras wouldn't be even more effective.
Obviously, once armour is donned, they lose a lot of their effectivity, but for a very quick, aggressive (and even more importantly, surprising) move, they'd put out more damage, no?

And ever since stumbling across some Warlord book making use of the Golem Pit, I was thinking if there was an effective way to make this work with Golems, but getting them to the middle quickly enough is a challenge.
Maybe with using Force Pull, it could work ...

I'll wander back to my drawing board now.  ;)

Why do you have a second wall of thorns? As a forcemaster, you should only cast that if you are going to immediately push an enemy mage through it. That means quickcasting wall of thorns then immediately using your mage's action to push them through. Otherwise they'll just destroy the wall before you can use it.

Doesn't the FM Force Pull state that it is not powerful enough to push through walls with a passage attack?
