We can also use some extra mana token.  I'm glad they didn't include another iniative maker in fif. Got too many of those already.

I agree - more mana tokens are needed especially in multiplayer games.  We have three complete core sets through the current expansions and still run short on mana.

When we are playing casually and not filming matches for Arcane Duels, we use dice for everything except contition markers.We have sets of red dice to represent damage, and sets of Purple dice to represent Channeling.

Rules for Equipment state

If an equipment object of the same name or location is cast upon a Mage, if the spell is friendly controlled, the new equipment object is placed on the Mage, and the duplicate item (the original one which has the same name or location) is removed and placed in its owner’s spellbook. In this manner, friendly Mages can replace equipment on each other with newer or better choices. This might be useful for removing equipment armor which is no longer useful because it is corroded (see “Corrode”).

so here is my question. if an item, [mwcard=MW1Q19]Mage Wand[/mwcard] is allowed to be used in either hand, could i then cast [mwcard=MW1Q18]Mage Staff[/mwcard] which is only allowed to be used in one hand, to put the wand back in my book. 

The plan is to activate my mage, use the quick activation to cast wand, spell bind something awesome on it, and use the full action to cast the spellbound spell. Then on the next turn put the wand away and replace it with another hand weapon to prevent the wand, and spellbound spell, from getting dissolved.

yeah it's expensive, yeah it's probably not worth it, but was just wondering if it can be done.

Based on math he can not become active until turn 6, that is if you do nothing to any of the Warlords outposts.

All of the outposts have Flame +2 except for [mwcard=MWSTX2FFJ05]Construction Yard[/mwcard]. And many of them can be severly damaged if not destroyed with a well timed [mwcard=FWA02]Force Hammer[/mwcard]. A strategically placed [mwcard=MWSTX2FFA01]Devil's Trident[/mwcard] gets around the 2 armor most outposts have, and roll you 6 attack dice, as well as +2 to the effect die to place burn markers.

Basic spells that should be in very book -

[mwcard=MWSTX2FFE07]Rust[/mwcard] or [mwcard=DNA01]Acid Ball[/mwcard] as options to take out his armor. 5 Armor is pretty ridiculous.

[mwcard=MW1W02]Wall of Stone[/mwcard] or [mwcard=MWSTX1CKW01]Wall of Steel[/mwcard]. If Talos is ever dumb enough to get stuck in a corner, or if you can lure him to a corner, then run, and cast a wall, with extend. It will only save you most likely 2 turns. But that be all that you need.

[mwcard=MWSTX1CKA01]Surging Wave[/mwcard] has a 75% chance of dazing him, which causes a 50% chance his next attack will fail. Surging wave is a level 1 spell so you could have up to 6 of them in a book. Based on the high probability of Slam for 90+% of creatures and mages in the game I usually run 4 of these. SLAM IS REALLY GOOD.

[mwcard=MW1E38]Teleport Trap[/mwcard] or [mwcard=MW1I28]Teleport[/mwcard] to move him away from you stalling him for a turn.

[mwcard=MW1I01]Banish[/mwcard] to be rid of him for 3 turns. If you're playing a wizard you might have more than one of these in your book.

[mwcard=MW1E09]Agony[/mwcard] and [mwcard=MW1E14]Enfeeble[/mwcard] are pretty good to slow him down and make him less effective.

[mwcard=MW1E27]Marked for Death[/mwcard] puts a giant bulls-eye on him.

If you're playing Forcemaster, [mwcard=FWE01]Charm[/mwcard] is a pretty good trick. Sure it costs 8 mana, but you nerf [mwcard=MWSTX2FFC12]Talos[/mwcard] which is money well spent. And it costs 9 mana for your oppponent to Dispel it.

In practice, the hate I was thinking of was something like

1. (20) Gorgon Archer (4)
2. (14) Suppression orb (6) Hawkeye (3)
3. (13) Mordok's Obelisk (5) Arcane Zap (4)
4. (13) Chain Lightning (1) Arcane Zap (0)


Being there is only one archer in the Core set you would really need to won a lot of cor sets or borrow all of those. Plus, unless you are playing the wizard, Gorgon archer is too expensive to be in any other book (8 points minimum) and you can only have 4 copies of the archer Max in any book.

I've tried to put an archer in many books, she's just too expensive, it's almost not fair.

After speaking to some play-testers, Ballista may never be released. It's very powerful and they can not agree on how to fix it.

There are a few other promos which names are slipping me are in a similar situation.

So, I'm part of a gaming group that meets every Tuesday at a local bar. We draw a crowd every week of 50-60 players. we did hit 82 players a few weeks ago. the guy who runs it has a collection of about 70 games he keeps locked up at the restaurant for us to play, along with a majority of us bringing our own games to play as well. The owner of the restaurant absolutely loves us because if we weren't there his restaurant would be dead on Wednesdays. the food is great, with $4.00 massive sized burgers, as well as a huge craft beer menu.

For international TableTop day we had over 250 people come through. We had tons of prizes to raffle off, and there were also Door prizes. One of the FLGS was there with a booth set up selling games at 30% off MSRP. We had Reps from AEG there demoing games and they even ran a Love Letter Tournament. They also played a few games with us that were still in development.
