Arcane Missile Costs 6 Mana, has Critical Damage, Ethereal and Unavoidable at the same Range 2 Damage for upto 3 Targets= 6 Damage to.
I have Arcane Missile totally forgotten, after finding this attack spell i really think 8-9 mana is fine for Shattering Wave.
All Sonic spells should have Critical Damage, Ethereal, and be Unavoidable.
Screech Harpy Maddening Shriek and Screaming Zombies Unholy Scream Attacks were my inspiration.
I think now Sonic should be Arcane Too.

What!?!?!?
Gandalf the Grey had 8 companions in play at one time. What gives?
Be the way .... when Gandalf fought against the Balrog and he turned to Gandalf the White, did he become a Planeswalker? (Magic the Gathering)?
I also thought about it, if the world of mage wars would be in the universe of Magic the Gatering.
You are just buting down an Enemy in the Arena, you suddenly feel a change, your whole attitude of things is changing, ...
... a new Planewalker is born.

Crystal of Protection, the light damage comes Not from a Holy source, it is he bundled light cause the damage. I think light damage does not have to be 100% just Holy but most is.
But, since he is called Crystal of "Protection" is better to give him to the Holy School.
Dragon's Breath comes closest to Shattering Wave.
Dragon's Breath 12 Mana, Level 3, Range 0-3, 4 Damage + up to 2 Burn, 2 Targets
Shattering Wave 8 Mana, Level 2, Range 0-1, 3 Damage + Critical Damage, 2 Targets
If Shattering Wave would have the reach of Dragon's Breath It would be definitely too cheap, but 8 or 9 mana is the right cost for it i think.
The Ranges are also a considerable part of the mana cost.
It would certainly be different if it could be used against Resilient creatures.

What kind of Mage should a Halfling be?
For example. Summoner, Bard, Rogue, ....
As properties, I thought
Halfling Abilities
Connected to Nature: Nature school Level 1
Weak but Skilled: Melee -1 and Range +1 for all Non-spell attacks.
The differences of the race.
Example: Warlords
Dwarf(s) gets Touth, his Rune´s
Orc has Melee +1 and more Hps, gets Veterans
What do you think? If the Level 4 Academy High Elf Warlord would be level 6 would he be trained in Level 1 Arcane, or maybe another other school.
Or is the bonus that he does not have to pay triple arcane enough.
I just want to see more other races and for Academy to.
Not just only Elves and Humans.
