I don't understand the rules for this game. I really don't.

General Questions / Re: About the Paladin...
« on: February 12, 2018, 06:32:13 AM »
There are two main problems with Auras/Valor and one half problem. One, it has to use your action marker; it can't be a Quick cast or what it should be, a free action with priority. Two, 2-3 of the Auras just aren't that good. Three, there just isn't enough to do with Valor yet. Smite is a good use but it's a once per game action. The one Temple could give melee plus 1. But I think that's it.

The armorer is separate from everything else that gives bonus armor. Hypothetically you could have the crown of protection and Armorer and stack armor on a creature. One from Armorer and unlimited from crown.

Spellbook Design and Construction / Re: My first beast master deck

Lots of low level creatures, a buddy or 2, and tons of enchantments. You can buff up the beastmaster a bit as well with some of the totems.

Player Feedback and Suggestions / Re: New weapon- Dual Blades!
« on: February 07, 2018, 05:42:30 PM »
There should be more of a special bonus to the double strike...maybe the second strike is unavoidable with high chances for some sort of effect. Just doesn't seem like there's enough for a dual strike/weapon.

Custom Cards / Re: Chimera

I might have the full attack with all 3 attacks, roll 1 die less per attack. A 9 die-piercing two, 5+ rot, 7+ rot/bleed is a bit much. Making it 6 die makes sense to me.

We're only allowed to use each mage once, right?

As a huge Game of Thrones fan, I love my pet Dire Wolves.

It is. Boot camp needs a licensed version of Windows and even with that it's not an easy process and it runs slow.

Play worse. You'll lose faster.

Faster game?

Change the rules in your own Arena.

For instance, any or all of:
Enter the Arena with 3 rounds worth of static and personal spells already cast - step in already with some equipment and enchantments, with your familiar.

Love this idea.

Have a hard limit on the number of creatures allowed in a spellbook.

Hate this idea as someone who likes running armies.

Outlaw enchantments.

Don't get this one at all.

Quote
Reduce alll mage starting life by 25%

Not a horrible idea just to speed a game up.

Start closer together.

As others have said, this really takes a way a lot of strategy[/quote]

Have a turn limit. If nobody wins by then the crowd boos and you both get the thumbs down from the emperor.

This is basically domination, which probably should have a bigger place in the community but its tough to divide your focus.

Use chess clocks for the planning phase.

I really haven't seen a lot of issues with specific phases taking too long. There might be a round or 2 near the mid or late game that take a bit longer to figure out the best play but nothing that would need a clock to monitor it.

There are all sorts of options. Try some and see how it goes.

I don't agree with it, but I would think because it nerfs a lot of buffs you have set-up and planned for your mage or its creatures. It's one card that takes away about 30 different options.

General Questions / Re: Casting Equipment on Enemy Mages
« on: January 17, 2018, 06:01:01 PM »
The only equipment strategy that works with regards to casting on the majority of enemy mages is Eye of Bael since the only mages that will normally carry demons are Dark. I suppose an Eagleclaw Boots strategy could work if you don't want the enemy pushing themselves around the board.

I see the MW promo marking in the picture, but I am wondering whether he has been released yet in non-promo form.

I want to say yes and that he was in forged in fire maybe.

Silverclawgrizzly neither endorses nor rejects the notion of turtle priestess losing. Let us amend that to: Priestess loses when fighting my Straywood :)

Also, no they don’t.
