What's interesting is it's possible to get mummy bear to attack with 9 dice in an arena game, without any additional bonuses. Add on two melee from the staff, two from bear strength, one from the hand and further bonuses from the totems etc.... This momma can be rolling 17 dice with piercing two or three when charging into a beastmasters zone and attacking!!!!!

Ok so what are the possible counters to this?

I mean I build books with two seeking dispels max!!

Could you enchant yourself with regrow? This will allow you to heal until the poison blood is revealed.. Then you could dispel it before casting your full heal??

Hi there

I've been reading through so other articles regarding when you can reveal poison blood.

For clarification can you reveal it AFTER the opponent pays mana for a heal spell to stop the heal from taking place?

This effectively could counter a heal worth 9 mana!

This does seem a little unfair( although this is my interpretation of the rules) and only seeking dispel could prevent this from happening.

What are your thoughts guys??

As interesting as a debate this is I am slightly concerned.

The reason for academy is to introduce a more simple, easier entry point for new players.

1 The wording on the card is not straight forward (dissipate key word)
2 The fact that people on the forums, who are more experienced players (including play testers), are unsure about the use of the card, suggests a new novice player is not going to be able to "jump right in" and start playing the game in such a way as Arcane Wonders had hoped for.

Just a quick question regarding mind control.

The spell reads the target must remain upto 1 zone away from the caster.

The question is what happens if the creature is teleported away from the caster to two or more zones away??

How awesome is this piece of equipment !!!

Anyway if I equipped my lovely boots and I wanted to cast force push on myself, what are the options available to me ?

I love the boots to primarily stop a forcemasters abuse of the force spells. I now want to play as a forcemaster and I'm wondering if these awesome boots I've been using in most matches need to be replaced by another set of boots?

Any thoughts guys?

Two questions came up during last nights game

1 Can Mort remove two damage from himself during the upkeep phase?

2 If a Gorgan Archer attacks a zombie who is undead, can it cause damage with its attack dice but not the weak condition(as that is a poison effect)?

Hi

I'm sure this question has been asked before but I can't find an answer

Basically you cast a wand as a quick cast and bind a hurl rock attack spell to it.

Do you need to use a second quick cast spell to then use the hurl rock?

That's a full round of actions to effectively cast one hurl rock spell!!

I know you keep it for further options in future rounds but you lose precious actions earlier in the game when they are most needed.

Following on from the comments regarding the counters, I have found the thickness of the cards in the new Arena sets are thinner.

I'm not saying the standards of the materials are poor, maybe slightly reduced????

Any other thoughts on this?

Just a point on the wall placement problem.

Sure a wall would block line of site but the war machine would be able to be moved away from the wall on future turns.

The wall could be attacked as an alternative

Hello guys

I was thinking about all the cards in the game that don't make it to the arena that often.

Akio's Hammer....... Hmm

Well what if the war machine could be manned by say a goblin builder or the dwarf engineer as two examples??

For a full action the chosen creature could move the war machine one zone in any direction but not through a wall.

This would surely give this card more play time, and the goblin builder would become a more viable option too.

The word on Octgn is the Female beastmaster is weak because her traits and abilities do not offer any great synergies.

I think it's fair to say the gap in player ability far exceeds the gap in abilities between the various mages.

A follow up question is which mage books are more successful at the main tournaments?
