My solution to the ever moving status cubes!

I posted this on BGG, but will post it again here!
With the status cubes I had a lot of trouble with them shifting around, so I use these instead! I even ran into the table,watched two action markers roll off and on to the floor,and these didn't budge at all!I also like how you can see the numbers through them. Its hard to see that they are all different colors but they are;Orange-channeling. Blue-mana. Clear-damage. Red-life.

I've thought about using counters like these myself (though personally haven't had any 'cube' issues just yet).
That said, I *think* there's a more elegant design possible anyone, maybe involving layered dials, that remove the need for cubes, but I've not quite figured them out yet.  I'd abolsutely like to see something like that though, as cubes can cause problems, AND we are gonna need another life/mana board very soon, especially with the new action markers available...

I have the worst luck with the cubes! If I sneeze to hard my mana depletes! (or is that some game mechanic I overlooked!)

My thoughts as well! I just saw some at Wal-mart, Around 50 in the bag,6 colors for $2.50. I have so many already its sad.....I use them alot in mini gaiming though.
