Is there any plans for organized play for Academy ? I see that arena used to have it but not anymore it seems. What is the future of the Mage Wars games exactly ? Just got the Academy core set yesterday.

Welcome!!! Many players play on OCTGN.  Mostly mage wars arena but a few do play academy.  There seem to be pockets of players all over. The best way is just to start playing with buddies or your local game store and start building up your community. We have a pretty good Midwest group from the US as well as a North Carolina group.   OCTGN is very active with online play from players across the world.

I haven't used OCTGN in a very long time. And don't have a home PC currently. Yeah I am in Canada. We have been looking for a non FFG expandable card game. Hoping this one continues to get supported just seems not much going for it other than expansions at the moment. Hopefully that will change. Needs organized play for sure. Cannot even sign up to be an Ambassador for it which is always helpful for growing games.

Not sure, but I think that the Ambassador program has been left alone due to there being less overall game tournaments, as well as Arcane Wonders just losing interest in the program. If you look at the Facebook group there is barely any activity on there, if at all.

Unfortunately, it will not. There will be no Arena expansions in the future; although it's good news for you since you play Academy, as Arcane Wonders will release probably 3-4 mage expansions in the coming years before killing the brand off entirely.

Well that sucks. It is getting hard to find a non CCG game nowadays.
