Dark L1 P-T

[mwcard=MW1E31]Poisoned Blood[/mwcard] ****

Another all star L1 dark curse!

Only reason it only gets 4 stars is resent Holy counters to this.
Still very solid.

This is another example of the power of hidden enchantments.

Will you really try Heal yourself if you have a hidden enchantment on you?

Counters:
Remove Curse
Dispel
Seeking Dispel
Purify
Martyrs Restoration
Dorseus
Lifebond?

Sanguine Thirst 2/1 range 0-2 Minor living creature **

This creature´s melee attacks gain the Vampiric trait. If this creature is level 1, reduce the reveal cost of Sanguine Thirst by 1.

I'm not sure about this card. Putting enchantments on weak creatures is rarely a good idea.
Cheap protective stuff is fine, but what kind of minor dark creatures can stand a hit or two and then benefit from ST?

Sanguine Hunter seems to fragile, a Bloodreaper SH is tempting but that might just get a boulder in the face.
Maybe Afflicted Demon ? If it ever gets to 5 dice, could be OK?

I like it far better on a Pet Thunderift Falcon, Izimbilla or Timber Wolf.

Stench of Death ***

Seems nice, really good in a spawnpoint zone like Lair/Temple.

Consecrated Ground seems to be a good counter to this.

Theft of Life *****

Amazingly enough i haven't tried this my self.

This could go into a lot of non-dark books.

Well a lot of dark spells are also good in non-dark books :)

Spellbook with ToL (and some discussion):

Theft of Life

The card says:

"The first time this creature is healed or regenerates each round, prevent 1 point of healing. Then, heal your Mage 1 damage."

What happens, when there is a Regrowth on Mage A, and Theft of Life on both mages A and B?

The way I see it: - Mage A regenerates 1 instead of 2 damage from the Regrowth, because one point of healing is stolen by Mage B's Theft of Life on Mage A. - Mage B heals 1 damage, but this is prevented by Mage A's Theft of Life on Mage B. - Therefore Mage A heals another point of damage through Mage A's Theft of Life on Mage B.

Result: Effectively both Theft of Life cancel each other out and Mage A heals 2 damage.

Is this correct? Sounds right to me. Interesting interaction!

I had pretty much this exact situation about a month ago (my opponent actually used Steal Enchantment on one of my thefts of life), and yes, this is how it works.
