The Force Awakens.
« on: September 04, 2017, 01:15:50 PM »
Simple prediction for you: A Force Master will win at least 1 major championship within a year. Might be Essen, Gen Con, or some other big event but it's going to happen.

The only mage to make Top 4 of Gen Con the past three years in a row got a lot nastier.

I hope that was a soft announcement that the Spell Tome Expansion for Wizard and Forcemaster is (finally!!!) coming soon (Essen?).

I myself believe people will buy anything that says Force on it this holiday season because... Disney.

I believe he's referring to the Academy expansion as what makes the Forcemaster nastier  ;) - http://www.arcanewonders.com/game/mage-wars-academy/forcemaster/

Not likely to happen at Essen, mostly cause there´s no Mage Wars tourney there.

It might happen during Essen at Viking-Con, but i think not.

She might have an even larger chance in the Academy tourney. :)

I do hope that Forcemaster v. Wizard set would be out early enough next year to be legal at most tournaments. Going another 2 years without Arena mages would be very disappointing. I understand Academy cards are good but we need Arena mages at least every 18 months at minimum.

I am indeed referring to the academy set.

Certainly, but shoring up that prediction with another dose of mind school cards plus another set of forcemaster abilities doesn't hurt. Add my wishful thinking too.

I feel this could be correct. The ability to ignore range and disrupt your opponents plan early and pile down a lot of attack dice at qc speed is something to content with. She deals with buddy builds very well due to force gremlin (spot the interaction) and also zombies due to her critical damage creatures. Swarms are less of a burden with clever spellbook design.
