I had a fun idea to run as many grey wraiths as I could at one time. This is the result.

T1: graveyard and amulet
T2: Deploy archer, meditate, mana crystal
T3: deploy minion, meditate, mana crystal
T4: Deploy minion, cast minion, leather
From there start pumping out wraiths, drop the idol, and go to town.

The reason the wraiths are dropped so late is because the upkeep can catch up to you with everything else going on and if you face a wizard or another opponent you know carries ethereal you dont want to throw them out early to just die.  You can throw them out later or not at all and just use your other creatures.

Ghosts say boo so that is where it came from lol

And not at the same time. When i got number 4 out 1 had already died and a second was close to dying.

I will say it is fun to chant of rage someone, put the hate token on the wraith. Make them run around a wall to get to the wraith, then have it teleport through the wall and hit what you want

That sounds like an awesome use of chant of rage!

I'm not sure boo translates to another language well. Its like a frightening surprise kind of thing ghosts are known to do.

Siphon Life would be a great spell to put on a wand, if not for the 0-0 range. That 0-range really hinders its effectiveness, I think.

Drain Life seems like it's too expensive to put on a wand. How many times would you cast this spell, at this cost ?

I hope I am not derailing this thread too far, but I wonder (and asked in another thread for it) if someone managed to build a whole book around drain life, drain soul and siphon life. I never got one to work since those spells are very expensive.

To topic:
Why grey wraiths? I like the idea thematically, but think incorporeal has seen better times. There are too many counters for this high price.

I usually put drain life in my necro books, just in case of a mirror match. but that's really the only reason and I didn't want to put 3 sbps and 12 mana into that card when I can use siphon life for a cheaper "quick fix"

Siphon life is great on a mage wand! If i want to heal, though, I have also found good use of mend on the wand if I am out of the way of combat and being a turtle

I have not built a whole book around them but that sounds like a very interesting concept and I will definitely look into that!

and for the fact that I can have 4 grey wraiths, nothing more than that.  From a gameplay perspective, they can combo with the necromancers plague master ability by adding weaks, they can teleport through walls, and they can last a while on the board unless they go up against arcane zaps and galvatar....other than that, just to make a  book with a fun concept that is fun to play! :)

Priest's attack, Sword of Radiance, Staff of Asyra, Alandell, Artemis and a whole bunch of attack spells won't be fun either :)
I think incorporeal could use some help by now, there's just too many good ethereal counters available already.
