There seem to be a couple contractions with this book - like it wants to do a bunch of things that don't really go together. I'm a fan of variety, but this seems more like it's pulling itself in 2 or 3 different directions, and in doing so is spread pretty thin with regards to any of those strategies. Here are my thoughts:

- You have enough minor creatures to swarm the opponent (e.g. 8 gremlins, 3 leeches/worms), but you also have Mordok's Obelisk and Suppression Orb, which are used to punish swarms (and will punish your own, if played). I'd either drop most of the minor creatures or drop the Obelisk + Orb depending on what your primary strategy is (e.g. how many creatures you actually intend to put into play).

- Gate to Voltari makes sense with all those creatures, but even a Wizard might have trouble fueling both the creature spawnpoint and Battle Forge. It can be done, but... usually it's a one-or-the-other sort of thing.  It costs 22 mana just to play both those spawnpoints. That's a big hole you're digging in the early game in hopes of long-term gain.

- On top of that, you have Huginn (e.g. another mana sink)... but he has very few copies of Incantations available for him to cast, so... he'll probably run out of things to do anyway.  Not really sure how he plays into your strategy. (If you just need a flyer to Transfuse Enchantments over walls, etc, there are far cheaper ones than Huginn).

- You have an odd distribution of equipment (4 things that go in hand slots, 2 cloaks, 1 chestpiece, 1 ring); probably should redistribute some of those. Meanwhile, you have very few Incantations and Attack spells, especially for a Wizard. And no Walls of any kind. I feel like maybe you might want to cut some creatures and maybe some Enchantments (and at least redistribute the equipment if not outright cutting some) in order to make  room for more utility spells and a couple walls for area control.

- I feel like an aggressive mage will kill your Wizard very quickly. You have very little armor, and while your Cloaks might charge creatures to attack, a Forcemaster will gladly pay a mana or 2 to hit you with her Galvitar double-strike + Dancing Scimitar, for instance. Similarly, paying a little extra mana for that 9+ dice Fireball or Hurl Boulder/Meteor is going to hurt you more than them. Perhaps I'm missing something, but I don't see how you survive to the late-game against aggressive mages who rush you.

Dang! This is like a pre-2015 style book.

I would highly suggest at least 1 more dissolve and a rust. Devouring Jelly is good to deal with armor, but you shouldn't run with that few equipment removal/anti-armor tech.

I would suggest a hawkeye. It combos with both your staff of Arcanum/Arcane Zap and your attack spells. Getting 2 dice a round out of the one enchantment is very nice.

You don't run enough enchantments to have 4 enchantment transfusions

Suppresion orb and Mordok's Obelisk is a lot since you are running a swarm book.

I would honestly suggest taking out both Willowwisp and only using a Moonglow Amulet. It's just not worth constantly switching. And you save a SBP.

I'm not sure Jinx is going to help you enough to warrant 6 of them. I would consider a knockdown to combo with mage wand, or Surging Waves.

Get a Minor Heal spell. It's so valuable with your Mage Wand when coupled with a Battle Forge.

Thanks for the feedback :). I will make changes to the book and post version 2 ASAP. The original idea was to have versatility to play swarm or buddy but it make sense to pick one and make a more efficient spell book. I'll keep the swarm strategy and drop the contradicting spells that are currently in the book. Then I'll refine the rest. Thanks again for the feedback I appreciate it.

I like the look here, it is kind of a throwback and i dig that! But here's a few things i see that you might wanna tweak. Aside from the ironvine you have no means of passive healing, and a regrowth might not go amiss here. I also suggest either a heal or a minor heal in there because heals ignore armor and are therefore a great tempo regainer.

Im also of the opinion that you're a bit light on attack spells and when running single copies of the wands you may find yourself without the required umph due to a costly dissolve or corrosive orchid.

Maybe this is just me, but a wizard without a single nullify?! The very idea! But honestly i might consider one or two to try and at least keep those wands marginally safe.

Circle if fire and other unavoidable area spells are gonna hurt your swarm,  badly. Maybe consider and etherian lifetree to make the little critters last another swing or two.

You don't need that many jinxes, hanma was trying for something very specific with that book and without the channeling acceleration and the action generators he was using the overload on jinx might just end up leaving you without the correct options in a crucial moment.

As a wizard you might want another dispel. Maybe even two and with the mana drain creatures and conjurations you're running you might consider adding an enchanters wardstone in if only to make removing annoying enchantments a much more difficult task.

Finally add in at least one arcane ward and one decoy to combat the current meta. Best of luck brother!

Thanks for all the feedback. i took out all the anti-swarm spells, i added alot of the tech that it was missing and refined the useless enchantments and equipments. i know it is still short on attack spells, What other attack spells should i consider running, i only own core, academy core, DvN, and CoK. there are other attack spells i would like to put in but do not own. anyways here is v1.1 thanks for all the help ;D !

also what spells would you add to survive against early aggression? there are a couple people in my local meta that run strong early aggression and i have always had trouble dealing with it. im relatively new to more competitive play.

Depending on the type of early aggression it's hard to say. If it's melee I would suggest a Gorgan Archer. Gorgan Archer is usually always cost effective.

If it's attack spells you will need those walls to block out some damage while your creatures can fight back. Often early aggression when properly defended ends with your life in the mid twenties and you barely eeking out a victory. Since you have Voltaric Shield and Arcane Zap you have a great advantage of dishing out more damage then they can if they go early aggro. Hawkeye and Elemental Wand early is super good against it as well

Flame Blast is one of the best attack spells in the game.

Jet Stream is cheap, good and in school.

Geyser is old school and still pretty good to remove several burn tokens.

Vs early aggression well armor up and hit them with your own creatures.

You could add some heavy armor, put in 1 or 2 agony more, 1 Tanglevine or Enfeeble or both.

Poison Gas Cloud can slow down living enemies as well.

Id also swap Piercing Thunderstrike for Electrify/Thunderbolt/Chain Lightning.

What to drop?
Mana Siphon
Battle Forge
2 Piercing Thunderstrike

Thats 11 points - but other than that its likely going to hurt some.

This would mean you commit to Gate to Voltari and creatures.

Thanks coshade, what is your opinion on the spear thrower vs the archer? I think the spear thrower would be a better investment SBP and mana wise but I could be wrong.

Biblo I like the the idea of getting rid of the mana siphon, the piercing thunderstrikes and the battle Forge. Thanks I'll make adjustments in the next version

Personally I find more value in the archer strictly because she is much harder to kill. The spearthrower may be better for rushes, but in general i'm not a fan of it.

I'll try it with the spear throwers First and put the archer in after testing if the throwers don't work out.

My issue with the spear throwers is the limited range on the ranged attack. In my opinion when you've got a ranged attack at a full action you want it to be a range 2. A gorgon archer is tough to kill and covers all but three zones of the board when in a center zone.  That becomes very difficult to ignore or play around. The spearthrowers only cover 5 zones If in center, making it an easier work around. Try it and let us know how it works out!

i will write up an event report for this book and put it in this post. im currently working on v1.3 and will attach it before the event which is on Sept. 23rd. For an Idea on the local meta we have 2 players who mainly play AC warlock, 1 player who mainly plays necromancer, and a few more players who switch their mages around. also if sharkbait makes it up again he payed trogdor last week. so we will see how this book does  ;D
