Note: For standard team games, friendly mages have lifelink +2 or +3 and there is not unified spellbook building. Each mage can have their own copy of a particular unique object in play, even if they're on the same team. When a mage dies, they give up control of their objects in play to a teammate (at least the objects that it is legal for them to gain control of.) 2v2 works best on a 5x4 zone arena. You can use a 4x3 arena as a 4x5 arena by using the space off of the board on the longer sides.

Budget spellbook examples
Spellbooks included here must be constructed from a cardpool that includes at most no more than one copy each of the core set, a major expansion and a minor expansion. Major expansions include the word "versus" or "vs" in their names, include more cards and cost more than minor expansions.
Spellbooks are organized first by the format they're designed for and the number of sets that are legal in that format, and then by the number of sets used to construct the spellbook.
Standard format (all sets legal):
1x Core set
-The Frugal Warlock
1x Core set + 1x Minor Expansion
1x Core set + 2x Minor Expansion
1x Core set +1x Minor Expansion +1x Major Expansion
1x Core +1x expansion Block formats:

Will be updated with more budget spellbooks as I or others complete them.

Arcane Duels is more of a necessity for watching games and keeping up with event coverage. Not for playing.
Those video tutorials are not sufficiently accurate. I remember that there were some serious mistakes in it last time I watched them and I've yet to get around to writing a complete list of them and posting them on here.

Well if you are concerned about accuracy than you should remove the link to version 3.3 rules since these are no longer current version.
When the new rules were published I noticed that many of the items in the rules supplement have been added to the base rules. I like this approach but it now means the rules supplement needs to be linked to a specific version of the rules book or else it becomes obsolete and confusing. Especially for new players.
It might be easier to maintain version control and clarity if AW uses a Living Rules format for the rulebook going forward.
