Hey there,

Got a quick question for you guys. The Bloodwave warlord ( [mwcard=WARLORDABILITYOUTLINE] )Warlord Ability Card[/mwcard] has the battle orders ability to give ranged creatures +1 ranged as a quick spell. It has a limitation that Warlord can only use the battle orders ability once per turn. So the [mwcard=MWSTX2FFC07]Gurmash, Orc Seargeant[/mwcard] says it can use the mages battle orders. So can both the mage and the [mwcard=MWSTX2FFC07]Gurmash, Orc Seargeant[/mwcard] use the battle orders abilities separately to effectivly give a zone ranged +2 for the round? I think you can but I wanted to make sure here!

Thanks

Zuberi

Yes, you may use the same command twice with the method you describe. The "once per round" restriction clearly states that it is restricting how often the Warlord may use the ability. It does not restrict other creatures from using it.

*Does best Mr. Burns impression*

Excellent

Zuberi is correct. One bannana sticker for Griffindor!

I can take the fun out of anything. It's true; here, look at this spreadsheet.

Let me know if you play it on AD? I'd love to see how it works for someone else.

I prefer slingers, but Royal Archers could do the trick.
I am one with the force, the force is with me! (Warlord is still my fav mage ;) )

Bloodwave Greatbows are the real deal if you can get them out

They'll wreck armor stacking strats, that's for sure.

I'm still working on the position control part. Pit Trap is so expensive and Quicksand too unreliable, caltrops alone insufficient, and the book doesn't have a lot of room for out of school pushes or vines or force hold. Goblin slingers have a lord that helps, but Greatbow wants to fly, maybe?

I'll be very interested to see what you come up with.

it's still a work in progress, but prodigious use of the Wall of Earth can help buy the time needed to set a few up. Once I hammer it out a little more I'll post the book

While Shark is working on the great bow, I'm working with the crossbowmen. They make ok ranged fighters and ok melee fighters. But the advantage is that they can fire a volley to soften the enemy, then melee them to finish them off (assuming the enemy charges). Right now I want to combo them with the standard bearer (maybe on a panzerguard if I can get the mana). If this couples with the bloodwave veteran they can turn into good melee fighters quickly

I'd love to see your slinger book Ring :D

Also this might just be good in general with range. Mana is so hard to afford with this! Maybe with the slingers though you can take it.

The drawback would be that both the warlodr, and the Orc SArgent would need to be in the same zone as the Archer / Slinger unless you have horn of Gothos.

A Crossbowman to soften them up.
Orc Butchers with Flank Attack for 6 dice with Pierce+2 to finish them off and get Vet.

Crossbowmen : only 8 life for 11 mana, they are too fragile to be in melee on a regular basis imo therefore I think they won't get much out of Vet.
The Orc Butchers however at 10 life and 4 dice for 8 mana are perfect to be Vets.

I must admit though I have not been able to make that book a winner.
