Complete newbie necromancer spellbook

[Gallows]

Trying something a bit more focused. Ranged attacks through the plant walls, lots of minions and marked for death for tough creatures. I don't know... I think I'm still on the level of "this could be fun to play" rather than being the most effective

I would say: Just play with your book and don't think about your deck too much. After some games against different mages and playstyles, you know what your deck is missing or what you never use.

I agree. If you think that this would be fun to play - well, go play it. 
After that, you can still come back here and ask for feedback with regard to remaining problems (E.g. "I had severe problems against a solo Warlock - any ideas on how to face him with this book? And is there anything I should definitely include against solo aggressors?").

Hey man!
I like the Necro a lot. I hope I have some good tips from my experiences.

Malacoda is probably my favorite creature in the game. He's a giant poison demon not a zombie! What I usually do is put him on top of a spawnpoint so that before a creature can act they are going to take 2 damage. I notice a lot of times I don't attack with him but follow and hinder creatures and deal damage during upkeep. Also people don't tend to attack him because he has decent armor. I would also suggest if you want to use him putting a teleport or a force push so you can position him correctly.

Your opening - Currently you have a lot of things that boost your mana and summoning creature actions, which is good! I would like to challenge you next time you play to bring out the 2 mana crystals, the Graveyard, the Death ring, the Libro Mortuous, the Harmonize and the Meditation Amulet (and using it) without feeling pressure from the enemy.
