Astral Anchor has been revealed courtesy of the Let's Level Up podcast. I'm sure people will be happy about this one ;)

My favourite thing about that card is it isn't Arcane.

And then a thousand of Wizards cried a thousand tears.

But what I like the most is that it is a zone enchantment. We really need more of these.

it's a toy the helps everybody, but the forcemaster gets the biggest perk.

at least it's not another toy for the broken wizard....  8)

I should clarify.  It's not that the Wizard would be (more) broken if this were arcane.  It's that I'm glad every mage has access to it at no more than 2 spell book points - including the Warlords.  It's especially cheap for the Forcemaster (and Siren?), but my Forcemaster might not want it because she often teleports the enemy to her zone.

So... first FAQ question.  If a zone has both a face-down Astral Anchor and [mwcard=MW1E38]Teleport Trap[/mwcard], and the Trap gets sprung, can the Astral Anchor be revealed to prevent the Trap from doing anything (and if so, before or after the cost of revealing the Trap is paid)?  And similarly, if the Trap is in a different zone and gets sprung, and the Trap's controller tries to teleport the triggering creature to a zone with Astral Anchor face-down, and the Anchor is revealed, does the Trap "fizzle" or can a different (not really "target") zone be chosen as the creature's destination?

(Regarding the latter, I don't think there are any timing windows between steps once the card text is being resolved, so if the Anchor wasn't revealed before resolving the Trap, it's too late and the Anchor won't do anything until after the creature has arrived in the zone)

If a teleport trap and astral anchor are in the same zone, the Astral Anchor would have to be revealed first to prevent the teleportation. You're right that there is no window to flip an enchantment in that situation until the teleport trap will have resolved. I'll double check this a bit later.

Too bad that enchanment transfusion can only target creatures. That could have been a nice combo.

When will the rule book be available? Will we get a look at it before Origins?

I'm not sure exactly when the rulebook will be released, but I'm pretty sure it will be before Origins.

Thank you, I am just so ready to play domination, I have been watching the youtube videos from GenCon, listening to the "Lets Level up pod casts" and getting very excited.  The tile effects and the details on how to score V'tar are of particular interest.

No, walls are not in zones, they are placed between.

So it isn't a soldier? That is a shame.

There were those on the Playtesting team that wanted him to have that subtype, but it just didn't make sense in the world of Etheria.....
