where can one actually purchase an organized play kit? I don't seem to see them in the online store.

Game stores and/or retailers have to order them, and then they are used to host league/organized play.

So, if you can organize play groups in your area to a consistent meeting time (even if its just 4-6 of you) on a regular basis and can work with a local game store to host it, you can try to start up an OP in your area.

Our area happens to have a really supportive game store and a decently connected Facebook group to help put them together.

Sounds like you should open a game store that does not suck :D

I wonder what the start up is on a business like that

Depends on where you're at, but it can get quite pricey.

Also, Ambassadors are allowed to order kits for the players they serve.

Most of the kits are out of print but you may still be able to get back stock from all but kit 1.

Kit 1 is out. However the other kits are at distribution. Kit 4 and 5 should be very easy to find. Kit 2 and 3 are running low if they're not already out.
