Wizards Voltaric Shield Question
« on: December 17, 2013, 02:35:17 PM »
Does Penetrating damage bypass the Voltaric Shield, or does it soak up everything up to 3 points once per turn?

Going to play a game at Starbucks in a few minutes, hopefully someone can help us out. My girlfriend and I forgot the rule.

Cheers,

By penetrating damage, I assume that you mean critical damage. Voltaric Shield will stop up to 3 damage from an attack after armor is applied regardless of whether that damage was critical or regular damage. So yes, Voltaric Shield can soak critical damage.

If your armor stops all of the damage, then Voltaric Shield isn't triggered, and you'll be able to apply it to the next attack that turn.
