I was told I would receive my copies of DvN earlier than a store would receive theirs when I preordered at Gencon. I haven't seen anything online supporting this and now I'm skeptical. Can I get some confirmation on any of this either way.

All those who preordered the Druid Vs Necromancer expansion will be receiving an emailing outlining when they can expect their copies. Without going into too much detail, I can say we will be keeping our Gencon promises.

Just got an email saying that DvN will be completed and shipped from the manufacturer Oct. 25 (Friday), and the latest that preorders will be shipped from the fulfillment center to us is Nov. 5. So it looks like we can expect to receive it between Nov. 1-10.

Tentative street date is Nov. 20. So that's a good week or three of early access.

EDIT: just saw Thessial's comment about "without going into too much detail". If I went into too much detail, feel free to delete or modify this post.
