Warlord's Minions

The Warlord has dwarves and goblins fighting together.  Ancient enemies marching arm in arm.  How does he do it?  I don't really get into the lore of games, but whenever I show the game to someone, this always comes up eventually.  So what's the skinny?

Have you seen the next warlord art? It is up on the FB page. Hint it is a Dwarf.
