Do putting Fast on Slow creature cancels Slow?
« on: March 08, 2013, 08:38:58 AM »
Certain creatures are just too big to move (Hyrda, Gorgon and others).

If I enchant them with Fast would it cancel slow?

And cancels Fast also, i.e. they negate each other.

BTW if you wanted to make a slow creature fast first you would need to remove / cancel slow than give it fast. Also going from fast to slow would work the same way.

Hope that helps.

My understanding is that you couldn't use two of the same enchantments to do this though... right? I guess you could use an enchantment and an incantation though since they will have different names.

Though enchanting them with a Cheetah Speed and THEN casting 'Charge' on them is a hefty investment  :)

i'm slightly confused now.  this is how I have been playing (and how I think this thread concludes):

if a creature has the slow trait, it can only move 1 space and cannot take a quick action after moving 1 space.

if you put fast on that creature, it negates the 'slow' trait thus making the creature 'standard issue.'  This means the creature can move 2 spaces or move 1 space and use a quick action.

am i correct?

If a creature has slow, then you give it the fast trait, it would act as a "Standard issue" creature, thus moving one zone with the option of using a quick action.

Be careful, some creatures you would like to do this too are not "living", so if you try to use Cheetah Speed it targets a "Living Creature" only, bummer for Earth Elemental.
