When someone wins a tournament, I think it would be better if, instead of just writing a description of the matches, they wrote the description of the matches in more of a journal and/or narrative style and described the matches in that context. The way it's done now is great for experienced players, but for most people it's probably easier and more enjoyable to read things as a story. As a lot of writers know, it's usually better to show more than you tell.
That being said, I know not everyone is a skilled writer, but I think that if whoever wins is able to write about their experiences in a tournament in narrative form, they really should be encouraged to do so.
