Mage Wars Arena: Nexus Mode
Objective: Destroy the enemy's Nexus, which is an untyped vanilla object that is always in its controller's starting zone. At the start of the game, before rolling for initiative, each mage loses some of their life and adds the same amount of life to their nexus. You can technically give all your life to your nexus, but then you can't do anything for the rest of the game since your mage just died before the first planning phase. This fact is not relevant in 1v1 games, for obvious reasons.
Note: when your mage is dead, you can still channel and use mana in your mana pool, as well as plan spells for familiars and spawnpoints. You just can't use your mage's action or quickcast action anymore.
