Thinking of changing my username. Advice?

I just noticed that there's an option to change my username. While I do like the username Imaginator, i recently came up with something I like a LOT better that fits me PERFECTLY. But I'm worried about confusing people too much, or that it might cause other problems in general that I'm not aware of. But the username I'm considering the switch to is SO COOL.

Any advice?

I think at over 700 posts your name is pretty well established. Would probably confuse people if you changed at this point. You did inspire me to drop the 87 from my username though. Now I am just Maverick.

What if I put a reference to my original username in my forum sig? Actually I think I'll try it for a few days. I can always change it back.
