I'm guessing that she can use her ability to get rid of conditions off herself, right?

mages count as a lvl 6 creature, and you can cast the spell on any friendly creature so can cast Restore on your mage (or your partners mage if you are playing 4 player variant)
Being Aussie we place all our cards face down, apart from enchantments which are face up

That's what I thought. We just had a argument with the group that I play with that she can only heal her creature's condition and not herself from them. The phrasing on the card is not the clearest… but then again I think the other side was over thinking what it said.

some spells say "other" which means the effect isn't self cast. but in your case the priestess doesn't say that.

refer them to codex -
"mage" it is a lvl 6 creature
and
"friendly" - an object which is currently controlled by your player or players on his team.

note: mind control creatures are no longer friendly to you until you are back in control
