Galador
« on: January 25, 2013, 06:13:56 AM »
Will Galador be ever released in ane expansion - I try very hard to make MW popular in my area, but it is possible that I would never be able to participate in a tournament.

BTW - was tere ever announced winner of Galador contest?

I am not certain but I think it will be in the Nerco set. It was up for vote this time but we did not have room

Thank you - I am totally happy with this.
I was affraid that there will be some cards unavailable to me (plus, I am biased thoward nature magic, so Galador is especially interesting to me).

Shadow is absolutely right. Galador and for that matter all promo cards will be available in future sets. The art may sometimes be different, but the card mechanics itself will always appear in a future expansion. And we expect to have all expansions make it to Europe.

The Organized Play (aka promo) Kits are distributed in the same way as the game and expansions. Ask your local gaming store to order the Organized Play Kits for your Mage Wars group.

Having said all that, Arcane Wonders is out of the first promo kit although distributors may still have some in stock. We hammering away at getting the 2nd Organized Play Kit produced. (New promo cards!!) Again these will be provided to all distributors.

We'll throw up some announcements once they're ready.

Forgive the basic question please, but what exactly is an OP Kit?  I had imagined it was a bunch of promo posters and the like for stores, but it seems there are special cards that only a very select few are able to get?

An Organized Play or OP Kit is a package that we put together for stores to purchase that will offer league play experiences.

The kits going forward will contain the following:
Mage Wars Folder - To hold the kit.
Sign Up Poster - To sign up
How to Teach Guide - To teach Mage Wars
Event Guide - How to run the casual play league
Story Guide - 9 weeks of story so that each week your league experiences a different chapter
36 Promo Cards - Enough to hand out 4 cards per week.

The kits also allow you to decide where the story goes.

Please bear in mind that ALL promo cards will be released in future expansions as regular set cards. Often with different art, but the same mechanics.
